"Connaître, decouvrir, communiquer - telle est la destinée d'un savant." - F. Arago

I am a professor at Simon Fraser University, in the School of Communication. I am also the publisher of the Canadian Journal of Communication and The Digest, a student review. My academic focus is , especially social inclusion. I am reachable through many media. Check the contact page for details.

Our book - Mobile and Wireless Communications - is still selling. 700 copies in 2007, apparently! That's pretty cool. Means my income from authorship is now greater than $100 per year. Woohoo.

This web site provides access to my teaching, student supervision, research, and service activities. I also have a bio and cv available on this site. The news page provides a kind of "blog" for me, and I have postings there on gaming, mobile technology, social software, and teaching about technology and society.

The name for this server, arago, comes from a French scientist and academic François Arago. He is the author of the "Connaître..." motto above.
