iPodtoon?

I have seen an upsurge in online availability of short videos and cartoons. Apple says they sold 1 million videos in the first 19 days of video iPod sales. Is this a trend or just a coincidence? Are people going to be spurred to produce new content or are they just dragging out a lot of old stuff?

One of the sites that is bringing content to the iPod is Channel Frederator. They appeared on my radar courtesy of an RSS "tag" that I was subscribed to via iTunes ("del.icio.us/tag/system:filetype:mov+funny") and when I followed it up I found that their 'feed' for iTunes made it easy to join and receive regular updates.
