Jean is a PhD candidate in the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University. He writes about music, technology and culture (the kind of culture that Anthropologists are concerned with). He maintains the blog Clicknoise, and has published scholarly articles in First Monday, and the Canadian Journal of Communication. In his spare time he performs in a band whose music might be loosely characterized as "dark indie".
