The growth of tags to the physiscal world

The Pondering Primate is a web log dedicated to analysis and observations relating to the process by which the real, physical world is being "Tagged" with devices (e.g., RFID) and codes (e.g., QR Codes) that provide a link back to the virtual world. In this article he pulls together some recent statistics to show that about 200million tags will be created in 2006. This is a tiny start to what will be a huge phenomenon.
